Three-Month Pilot Activation · Newsletter Native · Social · Editorial · DMV Latino Audience
Zapp is now in Central America. Washington is where Central America lives.
In July, Zapp opened Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador and Nicaragua. The Washington metropolitan area is the densest Central American market in the United States, and El Tiempo Latino has been their trusted news outlet for more than 35 years. This is a three-month pilot to introduce Zapp to that community through the media it already reads and consumes.

01The Opportunity
Zapp's new corridors are not spread evenly across the United States. They are concentrated, and nowhere more tightly than in the DMV.
1M+
Latinos in the Washington metropolitan area, more than half of them foreign-born
31%
Of the area's Hispanic population is Salvadoran. The only major U.S. metro where Salvadorans are the largest Latino group
3rd
Largest Guatemalan population in the United States
4 of 5
Zapp corridors map directly onto the DMV's largest Latino communities
The region holds the second-largest Salvadoran population in the country, the third-largest Guatemalan population, and Honduran communities concentrated in Northeast D.C., Montgomery County and Prince George's County. Nicaraguan households are here too.
Four of the five countries Zapp now serves are the four countries that define Latino Washington. No other U.S. market fits this product line as closely.

04Beyond The Pilot
This pilot is built for presence and awareness. Its job is to put Zapp in front of our audience week after week, in a place they already trust, and to build the familiarity that makes a household pick one name over another when it comes time to send money. That familiarity is what everything else is built on.
Translating Awareness Into Action
El Tiempo Latino also runs performance work for clients in this category. When Zapp is ready for that stage, this is what we bring:
Video reels. Our best-performing format by a wide margin. We script, shoot and edit in-house, and we can build a reel around a single message, market or corridor.
Audience extension. We can reach narrow segments inside our Latino audience using our own first-party data, including by country of origin, so a Salvadoran household and a Guatemalan household see different creative.
Lead generation. Campaigns built to deliver qualified leads and first transactions, measured on cost per acquisition instead of impressions.
Performance marketing. Full-funnel structure with retargeting, so the people who engage with this pilot can be reached again with a direct offer.
That work carries its own structure and budget. We would like to walk Zapp's growth team through it while this pilot is running.
